The meeting focused on the resigning justices and their concerns. Kuk explained to the justic~s that neithr she nor President James Clark had the authority to withdraw the advisors or to change the manual. Kuk feels there were com- munication problems bet- ween the JRB and her because she did try to contact JRB but was unsuccessful. She therefore feels this com- munication gap resulted in the misunderstandings and the justices' resignations. Kuk stated that the ''ad- ministration is not trying to be authoritarian but tries to involve students in a shared decision making process,. She also said that the students are only one arm and the faculty and ad- ministration are several other arn1s in this decision making process. In reference to the resigna- tions, the misunderstandings are being brought to the sur- face through Noto. She and Kuk will work. together to have the JRB be conducted in the proper manner in order for it to be a successful ~stablishment at SUCC. : · ·s~~ · ;~~~· ~~~~·~~·\hi~~\·~~~~ ~izii~i -~ · .
