The mayoralty can ­ didate has polled rntore than 3,000 votes in four of the campaigns and the present incumbent, Mayor Fred ­ erick C. McLaughlin, who is a candidate for re-elec ­ tion, received a total of 5,291 when he was returned to office for his present term.
