The local 4-H program has been contacted by young people interes ted in learning more about the wildlife and natural resources in the Finger Lakes Region. 4-H, a youth component of Cor nell Cooperative Extension, has a large resource and teaching file on conservation and nature topics. An adult, or two, to organize and advise the 4-H group is needed. Interest in youth education and the outdoors are the basic re quirements. Specific teaching ability is not required. 4-H project guides on natural resources topics are filled with ideas for group learning activities. A commitment of eight club meetings during the 1990-‘91 4-H year is required. For more information on the adult volunteer opportunities in Yates County 4-H, contact the Cornell Cooperative Extension office a t 110 Court St., Penn Yan, telephone 315-536-3381.
